Textile Conservation at   the Winterthur Museum

During their second year in the Winterthur/ University of Delaware Program in Art Conservation (WUDPAC), Awyn was based in the conservation lab of the Winterthur Museum. Three of Awyn's graduate projects are featured below, including two advanced conservation treatments and an independent study report. In addition to these projects, Awyn addressed structural and aesthetic concerns on a mid-19th century wool quilt, created a custom sink-mount storage housing for an oversized archaeological textile, conducted research on textile vacuum cleaning methods, contributed to conservation outreach projects, and participated in training seminars on special topics in textile conservation.
